'127 hours'
Today I would like to present a film I have recently seen - '127 hours'. The film is based on real events. It tells a story of an adventurous, brave, outgoing but a little carefree man, Aaron. During one of his expeditions the boy falls into a crevice. To make things worse, his hand gets completely stuck in the crack by an enormous boulder. At this point his 127 hours of suffering, pain, hope and despair start. These are also hours of reflection on his life, acts, neglected family and lost love. Aaron gets to a point where only one solution to the problem seems possible...a terrifying and inconceivable one... The film enchants with beautiful images of American landscapes, moving and deep dialogues or more often, monologues, and delicate, tactful and unpretentious discussion of the fundamental elements of a human's life - family, love, courage, passion and hope.
I invite you to see the trailer of the film - it's really well done and permits you to feel the atmosphere of the movie.

Have you heard that a very interesting astronomical phenomenon took place yesterday? It was a total lunar eclipse! A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes behind the Earth so that the Earth blocks the Sun's rays from hitting the Moon. This can happen only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned exactly, with the Earth in the middle. Therefore, a lunar eclipse can only take place the night of a full moon.
Contrary to a solar eclipse, which can only be watched from a small area of the world, a lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth. It is worth noticing that a lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours, whereas a total solar eclipse lasts just for a few minutes. Watch the video to understand the phenomenon better!

Shakira in Poland!
Hello :) I have just learnt that Shakira visited Poland yesterday and gave a concert in Łódź! The concern was reportedly very nice. Shakira is said to have started the concert with these words: "Tonight I am all yours. I want this evening to be the best evening in your life!". The Colombian singer was born on the 2nd of February 1977. She is famous for her Latin pop songs, great dance and supple body :) To my mind, she is very pretty, too :)
Welcome to Poland, Shakira!

On the left you can notice our new purchase - the jasmine. It looks very nice and smells sweet especially in the evening. Normally it is an outdoor plant but time will tell whether it can be situated in a flat, too. If not, it will become a gift for our friend, who has just bought a house :)

Make-up in English
Hello! I have decided to raise the topic of make-up in today's post. I think every girl loves make-up...or at least likes it ;)...It's perfect to conceal some small imperfections and highlight our best points. It's useful to know the names of make-up products as quite often you may have the opportunity to buy some great cosmetics abroad or on the Internet. Let's start then!
The first product, in my opinion the most useful one - compact powder. It's indispensable for girls with oily or mixed skin.
The second most useful product - concealer. You apply it on your skin to cover spots or bags under your eyes.
The next product is used very often by girls. It makes your skin look smooth and uniform as it covers small imperfections. The trick is to find a perfect shade for your complexion. The product is foundation.
The next indispensable cosmetic product is mascara. It makes your lashes darker, thicker and longer. Black, brown, navy blue, violet...
Another product applied on eyelids is eyeliner. For debutants it is not easy to apply it evenly! You can choose liquid eyeliner, a pencil, crayon or a felt-tip pen.
Another product which you surely use is lipstick. A great variety of shades to choose from! Brick-red, blood-red, beige, brown, purple...even blue!
Girls also like eye shadows. As there are lots of colours to choose from you can adjust your make-up to your clothing. It's well-known that violet goes well with green eyes, brown matches blue eyes well and brown eyes can be highlighted thanks to blue shades. In fact, there are no rules here. You can find which eyeshadow flatters your eyes the best.
The last product for today is blusher. It is applied on cheeks to make you look fresh and relaxed.
Which of these cosmetic products can't you do without? ;)

The Eurovision Song Contest
![]() |
The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition held among European countries.
Each country presents a song performed live. Then Europeans vote for the other countries' songs to choose the most popular song in the competition. The Contest has been broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1956 and is one of the longest-running TV programmes in the world. It is also one of the most-watched non-sporting events in the world, with audience number of 100 - 600 million all over the world. It is not well-known that Eurovision is also broadcast to such places as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Uruguay in spite of the fact that these countries do not participate in the competition. Since 2000, the contest has also been broadcast on the Internet.
Here come photos of a few winners of the contest:

'Candle in the wind' - AnSwErS
The time has come for the answers:
Goodbye England's rose
May you ever grow in our....hearts..........
You were the grace that placed itself
Where .....lives........ were torn apart
You called out to our ....country.........
And you whispered to those in pain
Now you belong to ...heaven..........
And the stars spell out your name
And it seems to me you ...lived...... your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the ...sunset...........
When the ...rain........ set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along ......England's........... greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your .....legend.......... ever will
Loveliness we've lost
These empty days without your ...smile.......
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's golden .....child.........
And even though we try
The truth brings us to ...tears.........
All our words ....cannot........ express
The joy you brought us through the years
And it seems to me you ...lived........ your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the ...sunset..........
When the ...rain....... set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along ...England's........ greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your ....legend....... ever will
Goodbye England's rose
May you ever grow in our ...hearts.........
You were the grace that placed itself
Where ...lives....... were torn apart
Goodbye England's rose
From a .....country........ lost without your soul
Who'll miss the wings of your compassion
More than you'll ever ..know........
And it seems to me you ...lived.............. your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the ..sunset............
When the ..rain.......... set in
And you footsteps will always fall here
Along .....England's......... greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your ...legend......... ever will
